Netflix - Squid Games rating MA+ message
15 Oct 2021
The Education Department has made educators aware of the new South Korean survival drama series called “Squid Games” streaming on Netflix at the moment. This series has become one of the most streamed series on Netflix.
The content of this series is classified as Mature Accompanied (MA+) and it is recommended that children under the age of 15 should not watch this without an accompanying adult. Throughout this series audiences may be exposed to graphic content which may not be appropriate for young viewers.
There may be a number of students who have or are watching this series and we would like to ask parents to monitor their children and ensure that students understand that we do not encourage them creating their own versions of these games and playing these at school.
Thank you for your support.
