Introducing Mrs Rebecca Welsh who will be teaching Kindergarten in 2019.
I am beyond excited about joining the Boyup Brook DHS school community as the Kindy teacher in 2019. I am dual qualified, completing my Bachelor of Education (Primary) in 2004 before adding a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education to my resume in 2015. I have job shared in a Kindy/Pre-Primary classroom at Brunswick Junction PS since 2011 and I welcome the opportunity to have my own classroom in 2019 at Boyup Brook. Previous to that, I lived in the Pilbara, teaching at North Tom Price Primary for 5 years.
I am a passionate teacher and I feel privileged to be my students’ first experience at school and I strive to develop a love of learning within them that my colleagues can build upon in years to come.
I live in Donnybrook with my husband and three children, twin 9 year olds and an 18 month old toddler - all girls! I enjoy the commute to work as it gives me time to code switch from mum to teacher each morning so that I am ready and raring to go as I greet my little people coming through the classroom door!
I look forward to building relationships within the Boyup Brook community. I am a firm believer in education being about partnerships and I will take every opportunity to work together with parents, staff and the wider community to provide my students rich and wonderful learning experiences.
Wishing you all a merry Christmas and a safe and enjoyable summer break. See you in 2019!
